1. Isn't Career Opportunities just for the unemployed?
The services available at Career Opportunities are open to everyone, regardless of their employment status. Core services are available to everyone at no charge. Intensive services are available for a fee. Fees may be paid by individuals, employers, unions, or, for eligible customers, by state, federal or philanthropic sources.
2. What are your hours?
Career Opportunities is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
3. Is there a charge for membership?
No, membership is free to both individuals and employers.
4. Does everyone have to become a member?
Everyone seeking career and job search services, including education and training assistance, must become a member.
5. Is there funding available to help a small business purchase human resources services?
Core human resources services are available to all employers at no charge. More intensive human resources services, which are designed to address an employer's individual needs, are available for a fee. There may be public funds to assist an employer with certain HR needs.
6. Who are the partners?
The partners in this collaborative are: Job Training & Employment Corporation (JTEC); the Division of Career Services (DCS) and the Division of Unemployment Assistance (DUA).

9. Do Veterans have Priority of Service? Eligible Veterans may qualify for priority of service for Federal employment and training funds, provided they meet the eligibility criteria of the program to which they are applying. Covered persons include Veterans and certain spouses of Veterans. |
