Topics: Thinking “outside the box” for your next job. Don’t be so quick to write off entry level or non-traditional positions. Learn about the growth opportunities within the health care field and where an entry level position could lead. Health Care-not just Doctors and Nurses. Gain knowledge of companies and positions that support and/or interact with the health care industry. Find out how your present skill set might transfer to a new career. Health Care; one of the top industry sectors on Cape Cod and Islands.

AGENDA: 11:00 a.m. -11:30 am (Attendees can ask questions of speakers. If warranted, the speakers can involve the local representatives in attendance to answer questions) 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Meet your local health care representatives: Representatives from participating health care agencies will give a two minute commercial about their agency, including a list of job openings. Once all the representatives have spoken, attendees will be encouraged to go and meet with local employers at their respective tables for the remainder of the session.

How do I apply?

• You must first become a member of Career Opportunities (membership is FREE) You must meet with the Counselor of the Day You must attend assigned job search workshops You must meet with your assigned counselor and team.
• You must show us you want to work.

To be accepted into the Fast Track program you must:

• You must dress for success; have a finished and up to date resume, have a prepared cover letter, have a prepared 30 second commercial,
• know what you want!

Career Opportunities will soon make select services available to general public for a fee

In order to access many of the intensive job search services offered at Career Opportunities for FREE, job seekers must meet certain guidelines established by the career center's funding sources. Due to popular demand, Career Opportunities will soon make a select number of its professional services available for a nominal fee to interested residents of the Cape and Islands who do not qualify for free services. Details and fee schedule will soon be available.
